The short version

Winterfield Wolves is a book-series website run by B.D. Atherton. The email forms on this site are intended for parents and other adults. We ask for an adult email address when someone joins the Pack email list or requests access to Chapter One. We do not ask children to submit personal information through those forms.

Email and Chapter One access

If you enter an email address, it is used to provide the content or updates you requested and to manage the Winterfield Wolves Pack email list. Email subscriptions are handled through Kit, our email-service provider. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email.

Website analytics

Winterfield Wolves uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. This may include page views, traffic-source and campaign information, general device and browser information, and site-engagement events. GA4 may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement.

We do not intentionally send email addresses or other information entered into Winterfield Wolves forms to Google Analytics. Campaign links may include UTM parameters so we can measure which ads, posts, or other sources drive visits and signups. Google processes analytics information according to its Privacy Policy.

Advertising measurement

Winterfield Wolves may run ads on platforms such as Meta. A Meta Pixel is used only on the parent/adult-facing Chapter One signup page to measure visits and adult email-form submissions associated with those campaigns. The Meta Pixel is not loaded on the Chapter One reading page or the site's reader/download pages.

The site sends standard PageView and Lead events from that signup page. We do not intentionally send the email address as a custom parameter in those Meta events. Meta may use cookies, web beacons, and related technologies for measurement and advertising according to its policies. You can review Meta's Privacy Policy and use industry ad-choice tools where available.

Children's privacy

The Winterfield Wolves books are written for young readers, but the website's signup forms are intended for parents and adults. Please do not submit a child's email address or other personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through this site, email hello@winterfieldwolves.com so we can review and take appropriate steps.

Hosting and basic technical information

Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps. Winterfield Wolves is hosted on Netlify.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from Pack emails at any time. You can also contact hello@winterfieldwolves.com to ask about an email subscription or request deletion of information you previously submitted directly through a Winterfield Wolves form.

Changes to this page

If the site begins collecting different information or uses new services that materially change these practices, this page will be updated.
