I’m a hockey parent and coach in Colorado, so a lot of my life happens around the rink. Early practices, tournament weekends, long drives, and a calendar that fills up fast.

That world is where the Winterfield Wolves came from.

I wanted to write the kind of books I would have loved as a kid and that I’d be excited to hand to my own kids now. Fast-moving mysteries and adventures built around a youth hockey team that feels real.

The hockey matters, but it isn’t the whole story. The Wolves are friends as much as teammates, and sometimes what happens around the rink matters just as much as what happens on the ice.

Beneath Silver Ridge Arena is the first Winterfield Wolves mystery.

That’s what I want the Wolves books to be. Stories that keep young readers turning pages while giving hockey families a world that feels a little like their own.
